Chain drives for extreme dimensions are three-phase direct drives designed for very large and heavy roller shutters.
The diameter of the shaft tube is determined through calculations based on the shutter width and weight to ensure correct deflection. According to Directive EN 10220, the maximum allowed flexion is 1/500.
This means that for a 5,000 mm wide shutter, the maximum deflection of the tube must be 10 mm (1/500) or 12.5 mm (1/400).
The shaft is manufactured using CNC machines. Hexagonal design axle ends with flanges perfectly match the pipe.
Since the safety brake is not integrated into the drive, an external safety brake must be used to prevent the door from falling back.
