Fire Resistance & Certification
The EI Certified Fire Rated Roller Shutter VR60 is tested and approved to CEN 1363-1 and CEN 1364-1, providing EI 60 fire protection—maintaining both integrity (E) and insulation (I) for 60 minutes. It forms an effective barrier to prevent the passage of flames, smoke, and heat, suitable for interior fire-compartmentation in commercial and public buildings.
Curtain & Frame Construction
The shutter curtain and frame are built from patented synthetic profiles with an intumescent core, designed to expand under heat and seal gaps against fire penetration. The profiles are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and available in mass-tinted colors (red or grey). Each slat measures 36 mm thick × 63 mm wide and weighs approximately 30 kg/m².
Guides & Sealing System
Dual-part track profiles combine a U-shaped steel channel and a PVC finishing insert for airtight and watertight performance. Intumescent and co-extruded rubber seals around the frame ensure fire and smoke tightness when activated by heat.
Drive & Safety System
Powered by a three-phase MFZ motor with reliable worm gear drive, the VR60 is fitted with an auxiliary 24 V emergency motor to ensure automatic closure during fire events. The system can be linked to a building’s fire-alarm network for full automation and safe shutdown. A bottom-edge photoelectric safety barrier is available for daily operation safety compliance (CE tested at 320 mm/s).
