FirePro E240 Fire Rated Roller Shutters

Technical Data

Fire Resistance & Certification

The FirePro E240 Fire Rated Roller Shutter is designed to provide both architectural elegance and certified fire protection for industrial and commercial buildings. Tested at 1149 °C for up to 240 minutes in accordance with EN 16034 and EN 15269-10, it prevents the spread of fire and heat between building zones while maintaining structural stability and smooth operation during normal use.

Curtain Design

The curtain utilizes the KP80 Single-Skin Curved Steel Profile, engineered for superior rigidity under thermal stress. Thanks to its curved geometry, the FirePro E240 can achieve large door sizes — up to 10 m wide × 8 m high (E120) or 7 m wide × 5 m high (E240) — without compromising fire integrity or mechanical reliability.

Material & Finish

All visible steel components are galvanized and laser-cut for precision and long-term stability. Surfaces can be powder-coated in any RAL color to match architectural requirements, with optional heavy-duty corrosion-resistant coatings for harsh or coastal environments.

Drive System

Standard operation uses a three-phase chain drive equipped with a thermal release fuse that automatically closes the shutter when the ambient temperature reaches the activation threshold. Integration with the building’s fire-alarm system is strongly recommended for automatic and synchronized deployment. For frequent daily cycles, direct-drive or reinforced chain systems are available.

Guides, Brackets & Hood

Deep steel side guides and laser-cut brackets provide maximum stability and fire endurance. The upper hood assembly, made from 1.5 mm double-L-shaped panels supported by 10 mm steel reinforcements, protects the barrel and drive mechanism while enhancing structural rigidity under extreme heat.

Performance Classification

◦ E 120: 10 000 mm (W) × 6 000 mm (H)
◦ E 240: 7 000 mm (W) × 5 000 mm (H)

Components

Curtain Profiles

Special KP80 curved steel slats, designed to resist deformation and maintain interlocking performance even under high temperature exposure.

Bottom Rail

Reinforced double-L-shaped bottom section, engineered to resist deflection since deformation typically begins at the lower edge during fire events.

Guides & Brackets

Heavy-gauge steel guides and precision-cut brackets unify the curtain, barrel, and hood into one rigid structure capable of withstanding up to 240 minutes of fire exposure.

Drive & Shaft Assembly

Steel shaft with CNC-cut flanges and hexagonal axles transmits torque efficiently. Drives are available in multiple torque ratings for different door dimensions.

Hood & Support

1.5 mm steel hood panels reinforced with 10 mm brackets form a protective enclosure for the coil assembly. The design increases rigidity and shields mechanical parts from heat.

Control & Safety Systems

Equipped with fire-release devices, manual override systems, and compatibility with alarm-triggered control units. Optional photocells or obstacle-detection sensors can be added for daily operational safety.
