Keypenk roller shutters can be installed in various configurations depending on the architectural requirements and structural conditions of the building. Selecting the correct installation type ensures optimal performance, aesthetics and insulation.

Behind / In Front of the Beam Installation

Behind the Beam – Interior Roll
The shutter rolls up behind the beam on the interior side. This is the most common installation when sufficient internal headroom is available.

In Front of the Beam – Exterior Roll
The shutter rolls up in front of the beam on the exterior side. This option is suitable when internal space is limited.

Under the Beam Installation

Under the Beam – Interior Roll
The shutter is installed under the beam and rolls toward the interior side. This option is used when the beam cannot accommodate the hood above.

Under the Beam – Exterior Roll
The same concept with an exterior roll direction, commonly used for external security applications.

Face of Wall / Between Jamb Installations

Face of Wall Installation
Guide rails are mounted directly on the wall surface around the opening. This is the most straightforward installation method.

Between Jamb Installation
Guide rails are recessed into the opening between the jambs. This provides a cleaner appearance and allows a larger clear opening.
