Central motors are commonly used for metal curtains or grilles equipped with a balancing spring system. The motor is installed at the center of the shaft, which eliminates the need for additional motor installation space.

Thanks to the spring balancing system, the shaft can be easily operated manually during a power blackout.

The declutching system may be located inside or outside the motor with a safebox. This mechanism releases the motor completely, allowing the curtain to be operated manually and effortlessly in case of power failure.

These motors can only be used with doors up to 350 kg. The spring balancing system is typically used for doors not larger than 20 m², which makes these motors unsuitable for frequent usage.
